Misconception Worksheets
A slightly different way of testing pupils knowledge and understanding
Read the statements in the table, annotate on the page if the statement is correct or false, explain in as much detail as you can!
Use knowledge organiser, notes, revision guide or peers work to add any further information (this can be done in a different coloured pen)
Covers all of component 1 (except warm-up and coold down)
One Pen One Dice Revision Game
A fun way of revising!
Includes:
Questions on all of component 1
Three different question sheets each with 50 different questions on each
Answer sheets
Differentiated questions with different marks
It works better if you enlarge sheets onto A3 paper
Adds a bit of competition and engages the pupils more than if you just gave them the questions
I have nicked and adapted the idea
One Pen One Dice Rules
• Work with a partner
• You get one dice and one pen between you
• You get a question and answer sheet each
• The aim of the game is complete as many questions as possible
• You can only answer the questions when you have the pen
• If you do not have the pen you must roll the dice
• To get the pen from your partner you must roll a six
• If you roll a six you take (politely) the pen from your partner
• You then keep the pen until your partner rolls a six
• This process continues until the time runs out
• Once the time has run out calculate your score to see who has won
• Different questions have different marks
• Roll the dice once highest score goes first
They should be enlarged onto A3 and laminated so they can be used over and over again
Contains all subject areas from component 2 including:
health and well-being
Consequences of a sedentary lifestyle
Energy use, diet, nutrition and hydration
Classification of skills
Practice structures
Goal Setting and SMART targets
Types of guidance
Types of feedback
Mental rehearsal
Engagement patterns of different social groups
Commercialisation of physical activity and sport
Sporting behaviour
Use of data
