Stolen from lots of other places on the TES this is a handy little revision tool for the new edexcel science spec for chemistry

An 8 week homework project for science, encompassing a range of tasks, from watching a science video and reviewing it to producing a revision card on a subject they have been studying. Can fit any year group and covers a range of subjects, vould be adapted for any other subect in school too, pupils hand in work as they complete it, so is easily tracked and activiely engages them in work, i tried this at my school and got significantly more homework handed in and some really creative pieces of work completed

A co-operative learning starter activity where the pupils decide definitions for the keywords from a multiple choice list move to the area of the room corresponding to the answer, then they have to copy down the definition and when they have finished sit down with a partner and decide a memorable hook to remember the word by

a complete lesson reviewing atomic structure, reactivity and word equations for KS3 or low ability KS4. includes a progress check sheet that can be revisited throughout the lesson and the lesson plan I wrote to go with it

Powerpoint and worksheet where lego is used to model chemical equations

a simple lesson on the periodic table, isotopes and electron configuration to cover a large amount of learning aim c as revision for the BTEC single or double award - geared at lower ability pupils with worksheets included

a picture of a brainiac experiment on alkali metals in a 5 questions framework, as a starter for the pupils

bath bombs are made with a 2:1 ration of sodium bicarobnate to Citric acid, recipes can be found easily on the internet, this lesson gets pupils to make bath bombs and then sequence the method and choose words for their advert

a simple starter activity of a polluted city with a timeline for pupils to describe what the city is/was like now and in the past, a good thinking activity

a simple cut out and sort or join up word matching exercise on acids and alkalis

a simple chemistry wordsearch where pupils have to think of chemistry words then find them on the sheet, makes a fun starter/settling activity

a simple little assessable activity on the fire triangle and fire safety

a simple writing frame to aid pupils with planning an investigation into the rate of reaction of marble chips and acid

some instructions on how to produce a good piece of rate of reaction coursework
