A crash testing experiment lesson we did using jelly babies as the crash test dummies, we built lego cars using the instructions added (these were built from a pick and mix selection at the lego store which cost £6 and built 6 cars), then added seatbelts (elastic bands), crumple zones (paper) and airbags (marshamllows large ones are best). All worksheets are included

A whole lesson structure around hookes law good for low ability or entry level, starts with a video and then gets students to design a bungee rope for a toy using elastic bands, the toy must bungee off a table hit a bowl of water and then bounce back up, they can test it first. Also included is the results table and some plenary questions to help with conclusions, and a way of scoring the jumps

A planning sheet I made for the film canister rocket experiment, which is a fun end of term activity, but this is an experiment planning sheet that can be edited and used for any experiment, I have made an easier and harder version. I intend to print it A3 and give it to the pupils, thereby making a ready made display.

An 8 week homework project for science, encompassing a range of tasks, from watching a science video and reviewing it to producing a revision card on a subject they have been studying. Can fit any year group and covers a range of subjects, vould be adapted for any other subect in school too, pupils hand in work as they complete it, so is easily tracked and activiely engages them in work, i tried this at my school and got significantly more homework handed in and some really creative pieces of work completed

a lesson that looks at forces through the use of movie special effects, to show how science is applied in real life. Pupils start with a demonstration of sugar glass (how to make instructions and video and video of it breaking included) they then go on to look at and label the forces involved in a fight (hence the judo) and finally apply there forces knowledge to storyboarding an action scene for a movie. It is fully differentiated for all pupils and comes with help labels for lower ability pupils.

a lesson I planned based on heat loss and how it can be prevented, based around the theme of keeping coffee warm, it also has a card sort activity on the types of heat loss where pupils can draw a diagram explaining the type of heat loss You could also remove some of the cards and see if they can reproduce the information on them. Inspired by someone else's angry bird physics display i developed the following lesson resources for an angry birds lesson, i used red and green playballs to represent the birds and pigs. And we made blocks using the net attached to the sheet. There is also a design an angry bird competition sheet. It helps pupils develop simple investigation skills.
