This is an activity which you can either use as a starter or as part of a revision lesson. Each pair of students will set up the sheets and then take it in turns to play battleships, answering questions on giant ionic bonding as they go. This has been something that I've tried with my Y11 students with some success. It is designed to give students something small to do every day. By providing an example for each piece students will see what they need to and you can confidently say that each piece only takes 15 mins or less.
