You will need white card, coloured tissue paper (or white tissue paper and paint), scissors, PVA glue and paintbrushes/ spreaders, black tissue paper and black card to mount.

Information from on St Valentine as a Roman priest and how the custom of sending valentine's cards and gifts came about. To view this properly, download the first powerpoint which contains a small animation. The font used is Valentine in Love by weknow. A PowerPoint on early castles, looking into motte and baileys and then onto stone castles

A PowerPoint all about pigs. Info on where they live, pets, piglets, food and eating, their bodies and senses etc. Designed as extra supporting material when studying the Farm, Animals or The Three Little Pigs.

Based on my shared writing activity, I have made a zigzag style book. Created in Publisher on an A3 format, the page can be folded (and glued) in half horizontally and then folded to make the zigzags. Children can complete the missing words and draw a picture of their animal. They can then stick a post-it note over the picture or draw a picture of a box and sellotape it over the top to make the flap. Would be interesting to have flaps opening from different directions or different shapes!

Information on Lord Shiva, as well as the Hindu story of the Great River: how the River Ganges came to be. A Hindu creation story involving the Goddess Ganga who became the river to save the earth from burning. Lord Shiva realised the world would be destroyed from the floods, so stood on the earth and took the mighty force of the waterfall, changing the water into 7 streams of water. This water became the Ganges (or Ganga). Thanks to authorstream for some of the information on Lord Shiva.

Most of this unit is based around having visitors in to hot-seat why they are special in their own way
