A scheme of work to help pupils gain an understanding of the novel ‘Guantanamo Boy’ by Anna Perera. Filled with lots of different activities and an extended Creative Writing task.

This resource is designed to consolidate the learning of pupils in Literacy. The tasks are chunked down and manageable to reinforce the teaching in class. They are most suitable for English classes at Primary school or in S1/S2 at Secondary, along with Target Literacy classes in Secondary school.

This unit is aimed at S1/S2 pupils, and primary 7 pupils, also. This is the Scottish equivalent of Year 7,8 and 9. It contains activities which will help boost pupil’s literacy such as synonym word searches, Netflix reviews, recipes, research projects and word searches.
