This is an engaging PowerPoint presentation designed for 1st grade math. A math playlet is a one act play designed for interactive mental math. Your kids will love applying math strategies they’ve learned to the collaborative, real-life interactive story settings. Prep time is minimal—just connect your computer to your document camera or smart board and you are ready to go. Printable task cards are included for discussion or for independent practice. Math playlets are designed to engage all your kids in vigorous math talk. Encourage thoughtful errors and mistakes and talk it out, then celebrate the success.
