Organic synthesis: a review of all organic reactions - Edexcel A-Level Chemistry

(2)
These 24 page documents contain all of the information with regards to organic reactions in A-Level Chemistry (Edexcel) into one simple document. There are two versions: one with gaps for students to fill in as revision, and a completed correct answer sheet. As well as summarising all of the organic reactions (to provide an overview for the organic synthesis topic), the appendices also include guidance on how to name organic compounds, and a summary of the reaction mechanisms that the students need to know for their A-Level exams. Whilst this has been designed with the Edexcel A-Level in mind, I can’t imagine its too dissimilar to any other exam board’s organic chemistry reactions. Please note that I will update this document from time-to-time with minor additions, so please check for updates.

The attached contains an Excel spread sheet, with questions based on the AQA Chemistry specification for units 1 and 2. You can either use the list of questions or, as I have, set up a random question generator, which I use to create a quick quiz based on what we’ve covered so far (WARNING - setting this up takes a bit of time!) Please see the Word document for instructions. Please let me know if setting up the random question generator works! If not, I&'ll pull it down.

GCSE Chemistry Ionic Jigsaw

Adapted from the original design by user supplymike (found here: http://www.tes.co.uk/teaching-resource/Ionic-Jigsaw-3001711/ ) I have adapted his Ionic Jigsaw by including sufficient numbers to allow you to create any combination of ionic substances which could be created using these ions. Prepare by printing onto card, or paper followed by laminating, then cutting out.
