A moving up day task where the pupils decide what they would like to be to be famous. They can pick from film star, to author, to reality star and sports star. They have 200 famous points to pick what they want to be. Will they use all the points on a big role or two smaller roles, like local journalist and non international cricketer? Will they have enough points to get an agent, bodyguard or fan club. The ultimate goal is an interview to see how they got famous and what they like about it.

An activity for the whole class, you create and design your own superhero. You use a points system to select the powers you want, that way no one is to powerful. From there you can design your hero, create the backstory, create your own super villain and even create your own adventure story. You could even get some pupils to create a team up story that they can write together. Enjoy

A story for assembly about forgiveness. Tommy is the best footballer at school, until an accident happens in a lunch time game, that causes him to get an injury that he blames Robert for. will he forgive Robert or bear a grudge?

A helpful reminder of what to check with a pupils written work. PURR, punctuation, check you have all the relevant capital letters, commas full stops etc. Understandable, does your sentence or paragraph make sense? Reword, have used some words repetitively, can you change them for something else, are there any wow words you can use? Finally Recheck, does it still answer the question or task assigned? A short story inspired by Roald Dahl characters based around the nativity story, along with an adapted Christmas carol to go with it.

A cheeky school pupil describes what they did over the summer holidays in poem form then asks what you would say you did in the summer holidays. a bit of fun that is aimed at encouraging a class to use poetry to describe their summer holidays week by week.

A poem based on a teacher asking a pupil what they want to be when they grow up. There are then multiple versus as different ideas come to the pupil. it then continues where your class or child adds their own versions, and illustrate accordingly. just added lesson idea for reception and KS1 lesson idea for KS2 Assembly idea display headings and poem. Add pictures of different jobs etc or get the class to draw them.
