I taught in a range of schools for many years before moving into FE, where I found creative and imaginative approaches just as rewarding with adults. Most of my resources are concerned with giving control to the learner, through a range of methods. Some are great for just giving them experience of examination questions, and the chance to discuss these with other learners. I now concentrate on spreading the range of creations from UK KS1 to KS4, and across the Common Standards.

Fractions addition and subtraction - getting more complicated in Year 5, and suitable for revision in Year 6 or above.
'add and subtract fractions with the same denominator and denominators that are multiples of the same number'
Simple and colourful presentation in PowerPoint, with plenty of places to pause for class responses, and a single worksheet that gives learners practice in these skills.
Two PowerPoint activities that introduce and explore the concepts of similar and similarity in Mathematics. Ideal to be used on the Interactive Whiteboard.
Ideal for KS3, KS4 and Post 16.
AfL in Maths, encourages mathematical thinking - sometimes true, always true, never true. A set of cards for talking about algebraic statements. Plus a powerpoint version for discussion, and a powerpoint version with the answers.
I've made blank grids and some with some bits already shaded - complete for reflective symmetry and rotational symmetry, and make up some of your own.
Good for fun and display, and hopefully learning.
All in Word, so feel free to edit.
Step by step look at multiplication of mixed numbers, building on multiplication of proper fractions and addition, to create a simple algorithm. Clear presentation plus two sided worksheet progressing from multiplication of common fractions to multiplication of mixed numbers. Both as PDF for ease of showing on muliple devices.
See my other stuff for presentations on PowerPoint of division, and addition and subtraction.
BIDMAS, BIMDAS or BODMAS
Matching cards for statements and answers, with index numbers, brackets, changed order etc.
Plus a powerpoint of the questions for discussion, plus a powerpoint of the answers if one runs out of time.
A very useful formula booklet for GCSE level. A set of 48 posters that can be printed off (just remove the header and footer) but also published as a booklet in the form of a revision guide. I use it for Foundation GCSE, but most of it can be used at any secondary level.
I have them printed on A3 and displayed around the room - use them how you like.
I teach 16 plus learners in a thirty or so week programme for GCSE - some retake and some new learners. What I have done here is put the Edexcel Linear A new scheme into the weekly slots, and devided all the criteria/spec statements into Aims and Objectives. I wouldn't expect anyone to follow the same order, or keep my jokes, but please copy slides as you want.
Inspectors love to see the aims pasted up, so I use PowerPoint.
Foundation tier now requires students to know the exact values in surd form of specific angles.
A simple and clear illustration of how to derive these values, and the values themselves.
Easy to use in the classroom, or print slides for crib sheets for learners.
The specs require:
'•know the exact values of sin θ and cos θ for θ = 0°, 30°, 45°, 60° and 90°
•know the exact value of tan θ for θ = 0°, 30°, 45° and 60 ’
Includes a recap of the trig functions and Pythagoras, and the graphs of each function to show values at zero and ninety degrees, plus showing that tan 90 does not exist.
Plus an activity to use the above values in sin and cos sum and difference formulas, giving practice in manipulating surds for higher candidates, and an extension to use the addition and subtraction formula for tangent.
Hence entirely suitable for A’level pure mathematics, and recap of GCSE knowledge and skills.

Four games to play to reinforce solving simple equations and substitution, so quite suitable for year 6 and key stages 3 or 4.
Throw the dice, and match the equation to the score. Claim that tile, and the next person throws.
All solutions are in the range of 1 - 6, so easy arithmetic.
But game can be adapted any way you like - solve all the equations first, then play the dice game to make three in a row, or four in a row.
The second set is throw the dice and substitute the scores into the expressions, then find the numbers in the grid.
Give feedback please, on suggested improvements.
Quite simply a scheme of work for GCSE Mathematics for one academic year. Use it as it is, or swap the weeks about and change the resources to make it your own. All text from published documents are free to use for educational purposes.
What it says - simple 'fill in the gaps&' four rules of fractions, with some scaffolding by way of answers and interim stages for the addition and subtraction, which can be deleted before printing in the Word version if so desired. Plus pdf documents for those who prefer this format.
Fifteen word searches in a variety of forms - doc, pdf, and as a slideshow in PowerPoint. I've included a guide on how I intend to use them, but they are easily adaptable for a variety of purposes. Solutions included but I don&'t think the point is to find all of them.
GCSE Maths, bearings. A set of PowerPoint slides to introduce the topic, teaching enough for learners to try some themselves.

A follow on from this, introducing the geometric aspect, is also free.
And a couple of worksheets plus a plenary/revision quid are available for two pounds only!
