I write all sorts of resources for primary and secondary pupils. Have done supply on the full range for more than 10 years now and always come fully armed with resources for my lessons. I aim particularly at the lower groups who are strugglers. Secondary resources have been created for PRU pupils and they have worked REALLY well. The phonics resources were written for a number of pupils that I tutor after school hours and I have had great results.

Dog Theme: a/An and Feeding your dog

I suppose its a bit old fashioned to expect a child to fill in A or An correctly but it does help them once they get to secondary level to write a bit better. The second bit of the worksheet is about what to feed your dog and there is a fun picture to colour once choices have been made. Look out for all the DOG related worksheets to file for a DOG THEME.

Christmas Theme: The 3 trees legend

Have you heard the legend of the 3 trees. There are many versions on You Tube but I have chosen one particularly delightful version illustrated by children. This allows the children to relate to the pictures and know that they can draw pictures of the story too. The legend has a really good lesson for life but is particularly suitable for Christmas.

These worksheets are based on a list found in the Dfes guide for spellings that should be known in KS3. This is just a start. Please give me feedback if you would like the whole list done like this for pupils who are still on level 3. I used these in a PRU that I worked in and the pupils enjoyed them (mostly boys hence the footballer pics!)

These worksheets have been designed with the dyscalculiac child in mind. The instructions should help a teacher to give a teaching assistant the responsibility of tutoring a dyscalculiac child. These worksheets can be slotted into your own maths recovery programme. What is important and different about the series is that there is an explanation of the stages and ideas for concrete manipulation of math concepts.PLEASE GIVE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICSM OF THIS RESOURCE SO THAT EVEN BETTER RESOURCES CAN BE DESIGNED
