Merry Christmas baubles
Baubles in French, German and Spanish
I will put together 4 of them to create a 3D one that the children can take home.
With older groups (Y7,8) I will ask them to write something on a blank one, like what they are going to do for Christmas or something about Christmas in the TL country.
Hope you like it :)
Christmas Board Game
Some years ago I saw the idea on TES of creating a boardgame where students had to “go to a Christmas market” and buy things. I have now created this that I will be using with different year groups adapting the grammar to their level.
Hope you like it :)
Test units 1-2 German GCSE
End of unit test for units 1 and 2 from the AQA GCSE German. The listening is the one you can find in Kerboodle. I just took activities from both Foundation and Higher units 1&2 and put them together.
I hope you find it useful!
Sports Revision carousel
This is a revision carousel where you can do a learning by stations. You divide the class in 5 groups and each one spend 10 minutes on each activity (or more, depending on how long is your lesson). Each activity is explained and can easily be adapted to any topic.
I use it with year 7 and year 8s who have just started learning the language.
I make it more exciting by giving students points for each activity they finish and giving prizes at the end depending on how many points they have!
Valentine's day Spanish
This is a whole lesson planned around the song “Qué bonito es querer” by the Spanish Singer Manuel Carrasco.
You will work vocabulary, grammar and Spanish in a real context. That is why you will be able to use it with KS3 but also KS4 as it includes verb tenses that they will need to use for GCSE
The resource includes the powerpoint presentation with a Starter and different activities to work with the song as well as a final fill in the gaps once we have already done a few activities with the text.
Hope you enjoy it!
Card game languages
A version of Spot it! for language learners. It can be used in any language as long as you have learned numbers and colours! You play just like the game “Spot it!”. All you need to do is print and cut the cards and you will have your own set! It has 31 cards so depending on your class size you can print more sets.
Hope you like it!
French Christmas song
French version of the song “Jingle Bells”, in French “Vive le vent”. Students first work with some of the vocabulary as a starter and then listen to the song filling in the gaps.
It includes powerpoint and worksheet for the students.
Halloween song
French version of the song “This is Halloween” from the movie “Nightmare before Christmas”. Students first work with some of the vocabulary as a starter and then listen to the song filling in the gaps.
It includes powerpoint and worksheet for the students.
German writing mat
A worksheet to give to your students about everything they need to remember when doing a writing in German. I adapted a powerpoint someone made and created a worksheet to give the students to stick in their books.
If you find any mistakes please let me know! Hope you like it

Card game German
I made a German version of a card game I always play with my friends. In Spanish it’s called “the wolf” or “the town sleeps”.
One player is “the wolf” and the others are “villagers” or some other special roles. The wolf wins when they eliminate all the villagers without being caught, otherwise the villagers win if they find out who is the wolf.
It’s a game that I use in class to use language in a real-life context (what’s more real life than playing a cardgame with your friends?!) , listening and speaking. At the beginning I start leading the game, but soon the students are so engaged that they want to lead it!
Hope you like it :)
