A unit designed to teach the first half of ‘Macbeth’ for the GCSE AQA Literature Paper 1. This scheme comprises of 5 weeks of lessons that are designed to address each of the AOs for this examination, including knowledge of applied context and close analysis. Assessment opportunities and modeled responses are woven in throughout the scheme and several of these lessons have been graded ‘outstanding’ by DSIB and Ofsted. Compete scheme of work for the second half of Macbeth from Act 2 Scene 3. This scheme was written for the AQA Literature Paper 1. It is designed to emphaise the key AOs needed this unit (including context) such as encouraging students to memorise key quotations, have a solid understanding of the play as a whole and develop close analysis.
