This resource pack contains an extensive 60 slide PowerPoint on time. It starts with the basic measurements of time that the children are required to know. It moves onto provide a scaffolded approach to telling the time on 12 and 24 hour clocks. First children look at minutes, then hours before finally putting them together to tell the time. It has been split up into four distinct sections each complete with a worksheet which means it is ideal for a weeks worth of work (I based 6 lessons around these resources). This is a lesson which teaches how to work out the differences in time on a 12 hour clock. It is pitched at Lower KS2 and is perfect for Years 3 and 4. It has a 29 page PowerPoint which clearly demonstrates how to work out the differences between times on a 12 hour clock using a scaffolded approach. There is then a fun, differentiated group activity where the children must solve various questions focusing on differences between times. Also, each sheet contains a problem solving extension. Their answers will correspond to a secret code which can be revealed for each group at the end of the activity using the PowerPoint. I have also included a lesson plan which I recommend using when teaching this lesson. I have used it several times now and it has been a great success!
