Get your pupils working harder!! The Key Points sheet contains facts, equations and key points the pupils just have to know to succeed. All are based on the Topic 2 specification from Edexcel. There are 3 Test sheets of varying difficulty that follow to test them and aid their learning of the facts. The sheets are best peer marked as this further helps the pupils internalize the key points. An easy way to fill your markbook with homework data.

Specific Heat Capacity and Why the cheese in a pizza burns your mouth but the bread base doesn't

Get your pupils working harder than you do! Over 4 pages the handout guides pupils through temperature vs internal thermal energy and specific heat capacity. It guides students step by step through the calculation of the internal energy in the bread base of a pizza and the cheese in a pizza. The answers to questions are on the Power-point presentation. It could work well with a fresh pizza in a revision session!

Get Pupils working harder than teachers. 1 homework, 3 tests, 3 peer marking, 3 sets marks for your markbook. 1 Learning list with the keypoints from magnetism and electromagnetism GCSE. 3 Tests which vary in difficulty to be given in the following lessons. Its easy to set up, and by the pupils peer marking they all learn (even those who didn’t do the homework). At the end of 3 lessons you have 3 sets of marks in your mark book with very little effort. I get pupils to estimate their own mark out of 10, it just makes the marks easier to collect and compare.
