This unit of work includes all the elements and linguistic devices essential to a political speech. Pupils are asked to read different speeches, identify techniques and evaluate their effects. Pupils are also asked to write a political speech as a response to a national catastrophe, ensuring that they follow a specific structure and include elements discussed in lessons. Pupils must also complete an evaluation of their own work.
