I have been teaching MATHEMATICS (11-16) since 1990. I have regularly been commended on my classroom displays and the quality of my resources as I feel this enriches the student experience.
As a self-taught graphic designer I now produce professional quality materials for our academy/academy chain across all departments including posters/banners and promotional materials. I am currently working on updating some older resources as well as developing new ones!

Answers included or should that be nswrs ncldd.
A great activity at any time of the year to keep mathematical language /words in the for front of their thoughts.
perhaps try to complete it over the Christmas Holidays
It could be set as a competition -individual/small group/ table
Each pupil could be given a different set of questions.
A table could be given all 10 sheets or all the same sheet and work collaboratively
Lots of possible variations
Please lets me know how it goes.
For up to 10+ PLAYERS at a time
I have played this game with pupil of all age/abilities of the last 20 years or so and it is one that has been one of my most popular and successful resources. It really surprised me how much the pupils improved their number bond skills
I have usually played it using a normal set of playing cards and on numerous occasions had pupils say they have played it a home with their family/friends. Playing card rules differ slightly and are included.
We have also played this (just for fun) with family and friends especially on holidays.
This set has 72 cards and should be printed on card/laminated
IF YOU NEED THE CARDS TO BE SMALLER/BIGGER i have included all my clipart images
If you download please comment/follow so if the resource is updated I will be able to notify you.

Others
are on bigger grids

Prime mixed up
I have found it surprisingly successful in getting the pupils to learn their prime numbers
Also in this resource I have included a bit mash-up of various other areas of maths that could be brought in - PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK

USE INCLUDED POWERPOINT for WHOLE CLASS INVOLVEMENT
WORKSHEET AND ANSWERS CAN BE PRINTED VIA POWERPOINT
I have not tried this as I am a secondary teacher but I was trying to come up with an idea for a primary college that would make counting ‘more interesting’ .
I thought that the main image may be laminated to allow pupils to use a whiteboard marker to cross off/ circle the ones they have found.
A tally chart(s) also could be used.
I have included all the ARTWORK I have drawn as individual clip-art so that you could use them to create your own PowerPoints, Notebook files etc

Prior Knowledge Required
Being able to identify some if not all the prime numbers less than 100
unless you use this as an activity for this purpose.
This is an activity designed to make the learning of PRIME numbers much easier and I have been surprised, in the past, how successful it has been.
Start with the PRACTICE question if needed.
For this and
ONE STAR PUZZLES the if you work through the grid,
starting in the top left hand corner and work left to right and row by row the sequence of PRIME NUMBERS <100 appear IN ORDER.
So find 2 and work through to 97
The sequence repeats (partially in some cases) up to the prime needed complete the puzzle
Get them to do this methodically - this is how they pick up the sequence ( a printed sequence for them to have alongside may scaffold the initial process).
TWO STAR - Same rules but generally a larger grid
THREE STAR - Usually a larger grid but primes not in a particular
order although some part of the prime sequence may
occur. (Find a 2 and it may be next to a 3, then a 5,
then a 7 etc etc)
I have provided some blank grids for pupils to make up their own puzzles.
Draw a picture by colouring in a small grid.
Then working with a larger grid get them to write LIGHTLY SHADE their picture onto a big grid
In each shaded square they then write a PRIME NUMBER (in sequence at first as in a one star puzzle) which gets them writing out the primes)
FILL IN THE REST OF THE GRID WITH NON-PRIME which is an equally IMPORTANT TASK
EITHER COPY THIS ONTO ANOTHER BLANK GRID or use COMPUTER and TABLE IN WORD, POWERPOINT or similar to produce a printable puzzle.
I have used ADOBE’s InDesign to make this set of puzzles

MATHS - 504 KENKEN LOGIC PUZZLES for BEGINNERS (3x3 grids) + PowerPoint
A great logical thinking exercise for beginners.
Uses addition, subtraction, multiplication and division but the clues always give answers that are either 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,12 or 18
Use as a full lesson, filler or starter activity.
Included
504 puzzles (12 per A4) that can be given as is, or cut into strips of 3 or 4 puzzles or even individual puzzles.
2 sets of solutions (although they probably not be needed as the puzzles check themselves but peer marking/checking is easy too)
A PowerPoint explaining the RULES, A BEGINNERS GUIDE TO SOLVING KENKEN PUZZLES and some HINTS and TIPS
A blank 3x3 grid and 107 transparent 3x3 KENKEN grids/cages that can be used together to create your own puzzles (or the students can).
To do this insert the blank grid into your document along with a KENKEN grid ABOVE the blank
Line up the two, group and resize.
You can simulate the throwing of up to 3 dice on a whiteboard for classroom activities.
You will need Adobe Flash Player installed on you computer. (they usually do have it installed as standard)
Now 2 files that basically do the same thing (the update file has an slightly different menu system)
Please check out my other upload that simulates dice throwing and so you can look at expected outcomes and experimental outcomes.
Hopefully a fun way to practice NUmber bonds to 20
Pupils could be tasked with discussing if each of the values are appropriate
I have included a BLANK SET of cards if they want to make their own version
Usual “Top Trump” type rules

Basic uses numbers up to 20 (36 puzzles)
Basic + uses numbers up to 90 (36 puzzles)
THEY BOTH USE KNOWLEDGE OF ADDITION and SUBTRACTION
INTERMEDIATE and ADVANCED PUZZLES ARE ALSO AVAILABLE
Pupils are to solve the puzzle by working out the value of each Christmas Themed Icon and use the found values to calculate the missing number.
In each set there are 6 sheets of 6 puzzles.
Each pupil could have a sheet each or they could be cut into individual puzzles or strips with 2 or 3 puzzles on each strip.
With similar puzzles I have actually laminated them as individual puzzles and used dry wipe pens for pupils to write answers on
