I have been teaching MATHEMATICS (11-16) since 1990. I have regularly been commended on my classroom displays and the quality of my resources as I feel this enriches the student experience.
As a self-taught graphic designer I now produce professional quality materials for our academy/academy chain across all departments including posters/banners and promotional materials. I am currently working on updating some older resources as well as developing new ones!

Find the angles in a triangle using their ratios. Use the worksheets but I can see the CLIP-ART probably being more useful as all 108 questions are included as separate files that can be used in your own worksheets/Powerpoints/Whiteboard files.

EXAM TYPE QUESTIONS + WORKING + ANSWERS
23 EXAM type questions on SIMILARITY (shapes and solids)
WORKING and ANSWERS included.
Each question/answer provided as clip-art so can be used in PowerPoints and Notebook files etc
In solutions - Scale factor found by dividing largest value by smallest to produce a SF > 1 and then deciding
whether to multiply OR divide by this value. I know not every one takes this approach.
ALSO NOTE
Assets 6 and 16 look like they are the same question but there is a subtle difference.
SEARCH-FIND-COUNT INSECTS(1) - COUNTING + ADDITION + NUMBER BONDS + ANSWERS + CLIPART
Count the 11 different insects in the picture
I have not tried this as I am a secondary teacher but I was trying to come up with an idea for a primary college that would make counting ‘more interesting’ .
I thought that the main image may be laminated to allow pupils to use a whiteboard marker to cross off/ circle the ones they have found.
A tally chart(s) also could be used.
I have included all the insects I have drawn as individual clip-art so that you could use them for you own PowerPoints, Notebook files etc
If it a popular/useful resource, I may make a series with different topics/themes.
Please let me know what you think!
I have also provided these as unnumbered CLIP-ART(PDF) to use in you own WORKSHEETS, POWERPOINTS or NOTEBOOK files etc.
Each questions comes with its own working/answers also as clipart linked by file name
e.g. ASSET 1 / ASSET 1 ANS etc
The questions vary in difficulty and include 2D and 3D examples and in some will need other skills such as circumference of a circle etc.
I hope they are useful
13 x 2D questions, 5 x 3D questions and 2 x non-calc questions.
Full set of working + ANSWERS.
In the zip files there are the unnumbered PDF versions of all the questions and answers so that you can insert them in your own PowerPoints, Worksheets and or Notebook files etc.
Should scale up without loss of quality.
A set of Christmas themed Basic and Basic+ LOGIC PUZZLES
Basic uses numbers up to 20 (36 puzzles)
Basic + uses numbers up to 90 (36 puzzles)
THEY BOTH USE KNOWLEDGE OF ADDITION and SUBTRACTION
INTERMEDIATE and ADVANCED PUZZLES ARE ALSO AVAILABLE
Pupils are to solve the puzzle by working out the value of each Christmas Themed Icon and use the found values to calculate the missing number.
In each set there are 6 sheets of 6 puzzles.
Each pupil could have a sheet each or they could be cut into individual puzzles or strips with 2 or 3 puzzles on each strip.
With similar puzzles I have actually laminated them as individual puzzles and used dry wipe pens for pupils to write answers on
Answers supplied
This is a set of 3 double-sided worksheets (with answers) where the student has to connect colours in a grid without them crossing. All the squares in the grid have to be used.
They then, if required to, add the numbers along each the paths to come up with a total. Some of the totals are given so they can work backwards to find the correct route. (especially so as some of the puzzles can be connected in a different way - which can be an extension task they can be given).
These can, however, be given as a task without the addition element.
I have found the addition element quite good as different way of counting and using number bonds/patterns as an aid.
Eg. if they see six 3’s along a path they can be encouraged to say 18 rather than count 3,6,9 etc
eg. if they see a 1,2,3,4 say 10 without adding 1+2+3+4 etc etc
This resource is intended to give students an opportunity to experience a different counting system. They should be familiar with the decimal system and may have some knowledge of perhaps, binary.
The Mayan’s used base 20 (vigesimal) in their counting system with associated digits ( being made up of a shell shape, a dot and a bar/line)
from 0 -19 rather than our 0-9.
It really is an exercise in practicing MULTIPLICATION and ADDITION in a different format and a touch of logical thinking.
I also have another resource that includes posters and other display items to go with this topic. It also includes a lot of artwork I have produced and used in my Mayan resources that you could use in your own resources if required.
38 individual wordsearches, one for each of the plays of William Shakespeare.
Each set of clues includes a short description of who the characters are and who they relate to. They are presented with an index and are numbered in timeline order according to the list on the RSC’s website.
All the solutions are included together with a
GIANT A3 sized WORDSEARCH where you have to find the list of PLAYS
Use in a project on the MAYA eg wall display
OR a starting point for working in base 20
In this resource there is:
An A3 sized poster
An A2 sized poster (will need to be tiled - using a reasonable overlap setting will be a good idea)
20 x A5 sized individulal numbers for dislpay with A4 description KEY
A set of playing card sized cards that has
-the decimal number
-the Mayan symbol for that number
-the Mayan head GLYPH for that number
-and its name (good luck pronouncing them)
PLUS
All the artwork that I created for this resource so you can use it with your own projects (see zip file)
I have included 300 dpi JPEGs and PNG’s but where you can use the PDF version as it can scale without pixelating. (in WORD you have to use INSET > Object)
If you do use any of my artwork, please credit it when appropriate.
I also have a set of resources showing how to convert Mayan, base 20 numbers into decimal number
I WILL BE UPLOADING SOME MORE MATHS RELATED MAYAN RESOURCES AVAILABLE SOON
12 TRIPLICATE WORKSHEETS (one for each pentomino shape)
These fit the 15mmx15mm squares from my PENTOMINOES - STARTER KIT that is also free to download)
A set of small grids to use as needed, such as collating results.
Can be done individually to make a display
OR
Small groups could be given a different pentomino shape and asked to work together to find as many solutions as they can in a given time.
OR
A whole class activity working on ONE shape and collectively finding as many different solutions as they can. eg Copy a solution on to one of the small grids and have an area where these can be pinned/stuck so the students would be able to check for duplicates etc
INDIVIDUAL PNG’s and PDF’s of each BLANK TRIPLICATE for use on Powerpoint/Notebook slides etc
There are over 1000 solutions to the entire set so it would be unrealistic to include them.
