MULTIPLICATION TABLES to 10x10 (TIMES TABLES) One x table per A4

(0)
Multiplication tables that I have printed back-to-back and laminated. One side have X ? ( eg 1x2, 2x2, …10 x2) tables and the other the associated ?X tables( eg 2x1, 2x2…2x10) My daughter asked me to do these for our 3years 7month old grandson who has developed a particular interest in Maths and particularly number. He has used them on virtually a daily basis and even at his young age, knows most of his multiplication tables off by heart, which is amazing.

MAYAN NUMBERS - An EXCEL program that converts 'DECIMAL' INTEGERS to MAYAN NUMERALS/SYMBOLS

(0)
IT also converts given number to the VIGESIMAL (base 20) system i.e. 0=0, 1=1, 2=2, …, 9=9, 10= A, 11=B, … , 19=J. Using different number bases is alway a great lesson to get the students to think about place value and how that works. It is also an excellent way to practice multiplication, division, addition and subtraction as well as some logical thinking. It is also me looking back to the day when you had to do calculate in £, /- , d. and st, lb and oz etc. A PROBABLE USE IS TO GIVE THE STUDENTS A NUMBER TO CONVERT and USE THIS TO CHECK ANSWERS OR USE IT AS A Q&A session/lesson on Converting backwards and forwards between different bases. I have other MAYAN resources including information/worksheets sheets. It should work on any computer as it doesn’t have any macros etc but I made it on EXCEL for the MAC. I think it is best when the screen is zoomed in so that you can only see the main area surrounded by the brown box.

MATHS - 3D SOLIDS - 3D DICE PUZZLE - BUILD A DICE FROM 9 CUBOIDS (NETS SUPPLIED)

(0)
A SURPRISING TRICKY PUZZLE FOR STUDENTS TO BUILD. Definitely useful for construction skills as well as logical thinking. SOLUTION INCLUDED as well as a 3D view of a completed dice(the puzzle is still not easy if you show them this, on say, a SLIDE. Print a set of the nine different cuboid nets. Construct cuboids Use the constructed cuboids to to construct the dice. The usual rules apply i.e. opposite sides add up to 7, so 6 opposite 1 etc There are 8 variations of dice colour/spot colour. The red /yellow one is ready to print but to save ink just use the white with black spots version or perhaps the outline version and they could colour in the spots with one of theie choice. Another step to a solution would be to use the set of completely blank cuboid nets on which the students could draw on the spots , construct a blank dice, take it apart while noting where the various pieces go.

MATHS - TWO WAY TABLES + ADDITION, SUBTRACTION, multiplication and logical thinking

This set of resources can be given as either 4 separate worksheets or cut into strips as 13 individual questions perhaps as a starter activity. JPEG files included in case you want to use the in your own PowerPoint or Notebook files etc The GOOD STARTING point is knowing that each dice has a total of 21 spots and calculate the GRAND TOTAL (bottom right) = number of dice in the box x 21 OR While the multiplication may be useful it can also be done entirely with addition and subtraction. The dice boxes have 4, 6, 12, 15 or 35 dice in them. It could also be a calculator activity. It is a good discussion point on where to start when filling in the grid. A lot of pupils will automatically start count the spots on the different coloured dice. However I found that ‘worked backwards’ were a lot more successful. Checking that the column and row totals all ‘work’ is an essential part of this task. I would appreciate any comments or feedback you could give via reviews. I am currently in the process of uploading several DICE related resources which are available now or will be available in the near future.

A list of chemical elements in atomic number order. ALL the vowels have been removed. A list of chemical elements, in atomic number order. ALL the vowels have been removed and the remaining consonants put in alphabetical order. A list of chemical elements. Initially ALL the vowels have been removed and all the consonants, put in alphabetical order. The results have then been listed in alphabetical order.
