Unlock the code to escape the room by answering sequences questions. I use this with a set of combination locks I bought cheap in a poundshop. I set the locks to open on a set combination which can only be got by answering the questions. The quickest team to get the combination win. This activity generates great fun in class and is worth the investment in a set of cheap combi locks. Answer sheet included.

Differentiated Prime Numbers questions in a RAG type worksheet, answers included. Suitable for KS3, GCSE Foundation Maths and Functional Skills L2. Also a Powerpoint of the worksheet questions and answers included to display to students to cut down on printing and marking. The differentiated questions allow all students to access the topic at their own confidence levels and the answers are always readily available to check their understanding. I like to use this differentiated question sheets as a starting point in lessons to recap topics already covered as it easily picks up misconceptions, then again as a plenary or mini-plenary. The questions can also be used as a homework sheet. Having the answers also reduces workload as students can self-mark. The smashed it (hardest) questions really stretch the most able students

Students can work in pairs or individually to solve the Reverse percentages in this collaborative and active learning “Around the Clock” card activity. Each partner gets a clock with 12 unique reverse percentage questions to solve and an answer sheet Each partner’s clock problems are different but the standard of question and answer are similar, encouraging collaboration and teamwork. If one student gets stuck, the other can help. Students paste their START card at 12 o’clock, solve the question and find the solution on the top of another card. They then paste this next card at 1 o’clock and solve it. Each answer students find will lead to the next problem to solve. Students solve all 12 rverse percentage problems until they get back to 12 o’clock. If all problems have been solved correctly, the solution to the problem at 11 o’clock will be found at the top of their START card. The activity is self-checking, providing students with instant feedback. The final product is a colorful example of their ability to solve reverse percentage questions
