A one sheet activity that includes converting metric measures, calculating area of rectangles and compound shapes and working out how many tiles fit into a room and an extension question. The idea is that learners bring some of their maths skills from different math areas into answering a question. A bit like Functional Skills where learners have to apply their maths skills to answer a functional question. Bringing all the skills together to answer a question is difficult for functional maths students as they are used to just doing 1 maths step and using 1 maths skill at a time. This worksheet will build up those skills in steps.
