A 3 page worksheet on Pythagoras’ Theorem. The questions include arrange of scenario-based tasks
It’s generally much easier for learners to problem solve if they see the relevance of an issue or feel that they can relate to it. By providing questions in a contextual format, the learners will be able to build up a picture of what is being asked of them and this should help them to form a solution. In addition to the scenario-based tasks, the Pythagoras’ Theorem questions make use of diagrams to provide more direct questioning for the learner.
Example Question
A ladder is placed 38cm away from the foot of a wall on horizontal ground. The ladder is 5m long. How far up the wall does the ladder reach?
