24 fraction and decimal cards for learners to play snap with or pairs. Fun way of learning fraction to decimals. Print sheets 2 sided so you will have a fraction or decimal one side and Maths Snap on the other.
A set of loop cards (20 cards) on percentage of amounts. The cards can either be used by individuals, small pairs or even whole class. I like to get learners into pairs and get them to race against each other to see who puts their cards in the correct order first. Solution included.

I set the locks to open on a set combination which can only be got by answering the questions. The quickest team to get the combination win. This activity generates great fun in class and is worth the investment in a set of cheap combi locks
Suitable for KS3 and GCSE Maths. Fun and Interactive Team Game on Reverse Percentages with sound effects. Ask a question. Answer the question to Test Your Strength. If the answer is correct, the hammer blow will ring the bell. If not. It won’t!
16 questions in total. 8 per team. Split into two teams. Ask a question of Team 1, if they are right the bell on the test the strength machine will ring, if not it won’t. If not, ask the other team. Answers can be displayed.
There are different ways to play the game it is up to you. I split class in two and nominated a team captain, the captain could only give the answer the team agreed on (led to discussion). Once answer given, went to home screen and clicked to test the strength. (make sure you know the answer) as you have to click an incorrect or correct icon to run the test your strength machine. If right great, if wrong went back to question screen and asked 2nd team, repeated process.
Was fun and interactive, got students working, thinking and discussing
This Martin Luther King presentation contains 25 fully editable slides on the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior, the famous American civil rights leader. It is an ideal resource for Martin Luther King Day, celebrated on the third Monday in January, around the time of his birthday. Also a great resource for Black History Month in October in the UK and February in the USA.
The PowerPoint makes reference to: his family background, his schooling and education, his involvement and leadership in the civil rights movement leading campaigns and his impact upon civil right reforms. The PowerPoint contains hyperlinks to some of his famous speeches - I have a dream and the mountain top as well as a link to the hymn sung at his funeral
There are also a few questions at the end for the class to answer.

A worksheet on calculating percentage profit or loss. Learners calculate the percentage loss or profit for each question and shade in the answers on a grid. At the end there will be five numbers left over on their grid which they have to add up to get a total. The learners can self check as if their answer isn’t on the grid then they would need to check their calculation.
Students will practice measuring angles with a protractor with this fun digital activity. Students will use a movable digital protractor to measure 12 angles. They will then find their answer from the answer choices on screen and drag it to the appropriate spot.

Converting Scale Measurements into Real-Life Measurements worksheet asks students to apply their understanding of scale drawings in order to interpret a scale. Suitable for Functional Skills Maths or Key Stage 3 Maths.
Using this resource, learners are presented with the following problem:
A builder has been asked to attach a garage to the side of the house. The owner of the house would like the garage to have space for two jetskis.
Jetski 1 measures: 4500mm × 1600mm
Jetski measures: 3600mm × 1700mm
To leave space to move around, there must be 400mm left around all the sides of each jetski
