I am a teacher of French and German from the ages of 9 to 18. I am only uploading resources that I have made and found useful over my 22 years of teaching. I am neither a native speaker nor a great typist so if you seen any typos or wrongly worded material, please let me know.

I’ve used this many times at open evenings. Lay out the socks on the table. Have a Yr 7 volunteer cut them out first. Have a volunteer to time guests matching up the socks. Starts a conversation about how similar German and English are. Can also be used in class as a sort of quiz quiz trade/find your partner race.

Insert your own sentences into this template. The sentence will be displayed for 20 seconds, enough time for you to say it a few times and for students to study it, When it disappears automatically, the students have the time it takes the frog to cross the room to write the sentence from memory on whiteboards or in books. More fun than it sounds.

A reasonably challenging quiz about Germany. My Yr 10 class came up with the questions which we then displayed at Open Evening. The answers are at the end of the presentation.
