It's a series of camtasia tutorials (vid files) and video footage taken with a camcorder (film files) that explain how to construct a database suitable for a video store. Tables, forms, reports and queries are all covered and some 'advanced' features like combo boxes and report calculations. Please check the document 'order of videos' to get everything in the right way!!
I use these files as an end of year test for our year 8s. Combines some basic graphic work, with a few formula in a spreadsheet to create a graph that is then used in a mail merge task. It's a bit 'leftfield' in content and would need a few changes to the word docs to make it specific to your school, however it is a lot of fun, assesses useful skills and the kids enjoy doing it.
More than enough material to introduce building websites with Serif WebPlus, from the basics of master pages and menus through to the use of smart objects like polls.
Simple tutorial but highly effective and engaging for students of all ages. Using just 2 layers in Flash and a few tools you can create a piece of art work in the style of Julian Opie. You will be surprised at just how good your students will get with this one, we have some amazing work on the walls at school that Mr Opie himself would have been proud of....
OK FIRST OF ALL THESE ARE NOT MP3 FILES THEY ARE MP4 FILES, YOU MUST RENAME THEM ONCE DOWNLOADED TO MAKE THEM WORK.
Lots of videos to get you going with serif webplus and certainly enough to deal with the likes of the Cambridge Nationals R005 unit. However, the software and the videos are easy enough for KS3 students to follow to make some rather fancy websites
This is a sample chalkboard that I created for use with my AS level students on the WJEC course. You can find more of these on Teach-ICT, but they are not free. They are however my best work to date.
Here you go, 5 easy to follow video solutions for the Rockhill task set for the January 2020 exam paper. Every task is solved and you will get your head around every table, query, report and form required. I have even included the 2 accdb files of the solutions for you to play with.
"Scratch Kids" brings you a whole bunch of video tutorials to get you going making your own games in the new version of Scratch 2.0. This are not the sort of standard tutorials that you find on the web. During the videos you will be set tasks to do in scratch and hopefully you will be able to complete them on your own. However don't worry the next video in each project will show you how to complete the task!!
These videos are really targeted at primary students although the content will go on to stretch and challenge even the most able of them with variables, cloning, broadcasting and many other features of Scratch.
This is a big app of just under 300Mb, because there is so much material in it. You will need to be hooked into your WiFi connection!!

Here you go a fabulous set of videos and 2 database files that show you how to solve all of this SAM. Easy to follow and great value
edit now with the solution top the report for part A, not sure how I missed doing that first time round but at least it’s complete now!
Fabulous quizzes using triggers, switching off transitions, dropping some sounds in with audacity, master slides. All good fun for your KS3 and 4 classes. Will keep them busy for around 2-3 hours
I use this as a mock exam for my year 8 students. It's a mail merged letter to apply for premiership football manager&'s jobs. Bit of a spoof one that requires kids to make a logo and create a graph too. I based it around where I work in Sittingbourne, but you could easily adjust the text in the letter and instructions to work for where you live.
