7 hour PSHE / SMSC unit on prejudice and diversity covering the PSHE Association’s KS4 guidelines on values education for 2018-19. Originally created for KS4 but easily editable for any secondary school class too. This unit covers:

A detailed and well differentiated lesson for Edexcel Citizenship GCSE 9-1 - ‘Living together in the UK’ (Theme A). This lesson focuses on the different rights British citizens are entitled to, the history of human rights and the responsibilities that go with them. It includes exam practice questions and homework too.

2 HOUR LESSON for the new PSHE Guidelines, fully-resourced PSHE lesson all about drugs and addiction - from heroin, ecstasy and crack to krokodil and DMT. The lesson investigates why these can be so harmful in both the long and short term. A fully-resourced lesson which serves as an introduction to social justice. Students will explore the concept of social justice, its link to human rights and why it’s needed, before examining recent campaigns and the progress being made by the social justice movement. They will also explore objections to what some call ‘social justice warriors’ and whether social justice is backed up by religious ideas, by analysing quotes - the lesson has been created for RE, but would be useful as a Citizenship / interesting Drop Down Day session too.
A number of religions and religious quotes will be examined throughout the lesson, with the most detailed focus on Christianity, Islam and Judaism. Suitable for KS3 / KS4 and editable, so easy to adapt.
