Product and Sum of Negative Numbers

(1)
Product and Sum worksheets are easily accessible, engaging, help improve problem solving skills and build resilience. In the Red section, students are given two numbers (with either one or both of them negative) and have to add them to fill in the top answer and multiply them to fill in the bottom answer. In the Amber section, students are given just one middle number and either their sum or product meaning they will have to subtract or divide to find the missing number from the middle. In the Green section, students are given just the sum and the product and have to determine what the two numbers from the middle are. This is a nice way to lead onto factorising quadratics.
