Year 8/9 Badminton Mastery Scheme of Learning
This scheme is aimed at Y8/9 pupils who have not taken part in Badminton previously in Y7 (therefore can be used at Y7 too).
It follows a mastery approach that means that rather than having specific lesson by lesson plans it looks at overall key areas of development:
Racket familiarisation and rallying,
Serving
Clears
Drop shots
The scheme gives warm ups, a wide variety of activities for each key area and opportunities for peer, self and teacher assessment. This allows teachers to differentiate lessons to fit the ability of each individual group.
