Here are three differentiated sheets for area and perimeter. Children must use their knowledge of area and perimeter to complete the tables. Sheets are colour coded. Green is LA, orange is MA and red is HA. These are suited for Year 4 or 5 students. All answers are included.

This resource is to help practice area and perimeter of rectangles, squares and compound shapes. There are 2 posters on how to find area and perimeter and 3 worksheets which are differentiated. The LA worksheet is an exercise to find the perimeter and area of different rectangles, where the length of the sides are already given. The MA worksheet requires students to first measure the sides and then use this to find the area and perimeter. The HA worksheet requires students to find the area of compounds shapes. They first have to find the length of the missing sides.

This is a collection of word problems aimed at students in Year 4-6. (High ability group for Year 4). There are eight quizzes included each with five questions. All answers are included. This presentation and worksheet are to be used as an initial lesson for habitats. It explains what a habitat is; and gets children to brainstorm different habitats. They also must begin to think about different animals and plants that live in the various habitats. At the end of this lesson I always give students a large piece of paper and in groups they much draw pictures depicting the habitat. This then is used as the backing paper for my display.

This is resource contains an exercise that gets the children to practice using a ruler; as well as a presentation on converting units of measure. The worksheet asks students to measure the lines with their rulers. They then must convert from cm to mm. As an extension at the end, they are required to draw their own lines based on a length given in centimetres. The presentation goes through how to convert from mm to cm, and from cm to m. There are exercised along the way to get the children practicing. This lesson is suited for a Year 4 class or could be used for revision with Year 5. The answers to the lengths are also included.

The first worksheet explains what each type of word is before testing the children with the activity. There is an extension at the end of the sheet for students to practice putting the words in sentences. The second worksheet is like the concept of colour by numbers but instead it is colour by word class.

This is an exercise for finding the volume of cubes and cuboids. The exercise is designed for students in a year/grade 6 class of medium to high ability.
