Title and examples of connectives for different categories- e.g. contrast, emphasis etc I have used this resource in a number of schools sometimes as an underground map sometimes as a city. I label the train lines/roads according to the types of connectives. Children love using it.

Suitable for KS1-3, I’m not an RE teacher- and often find I need just the basics. I am in the process of making introductory ppt on each of the 6 main religions. I’m not saying they include everything but hopefully cover- who, what and when the religion began, special places, people and books, symbols, beliefs, celebrations and rites of passage. Hopefully this and the others when they are done maybe helpful to someone!

Suitable for KS1-3. Another of my ‘religion basics’. Similar in set up to the Christian ppt but on Buddhism. Covers same basic topics of who, where and when, special people, places, books and symbols; as well as beliefs, celebrations and rites of passage. I am not an RE expert but struggle to find just the basics- so decided to have a go at putting a series of ppts together on key points about each religion. Hope this helps someone!

Recently had to teach from Northants RE. Some new topics, that I have not come across before. Put this together about Peace- hope it is of use to someone. Contents inc. peaceful places, people who worked for peace etc

The first ppt I use when teaching Ancient Egypt. May need more than one session. Includes thinking about what we already know etc and completing a KWL chart. Looks at timelines of world history and timelines of Egyptian history Looks at maps of the world, Africa and Egypt Throughout the ppt there are slides with suggested activities that could be done (children can do) and at the end there are resources for their books. Have also tried to link some of the videos I have used- such as the Horrible Histories from youtube. Will be putting the next ppts up soon.

This is the 5th in my series of lessons. In this lesson children will learn about the hierarchy in Egyptian society and the role of the pharaoh/queen. As always there are suggested activities and resources should you require them. Complete own Egyptian social pyramid or researching one group on the pyramid Egyptian pharaoh factfile- simple design- chn put a picture of the pharaoh in the middle then write facts they find about them in the speech bubbles around.

Daily Life lesson ppt Plenty of information about daily lives of Ancient Egyptians Activity: researching on internet - recording differences between rich and poor- lots of video links included on activity page so children have some sites they can go to straight away Ch then show their research- paragraph, table, poster etc

2nd in my Egyptian topic lessons. This covers geography and history of the Nile. Explains the importance of the river to Egyptians- the uses the river had/has etc. There are video links to help children understand and add interest etc. Again there are suggested activities for the children to complete- a paragraph explaining the river’s importance and instructions on making a ‘reed’ boat. Extra resources/things for children’s books at the end.

My 3rd lesson for Ancient Egyptian topic. This is all about the importance of the river and farming to the Ancient Egyptians. It looks at crops, seasons, irrigation etc Activity: making a shaduf out of lego

First lesson on topic of Romans. Explains who they were and where they came from. Lots of timeline information, general facts and maps. Timeline showing the period within history Timeline of the of the period. Activity ideas for children included- KWL chart, events to organise, map to colour Information on Rome, dynasties Resource section at end of ppt

Ppt lesson on the five senses and their importance. Information on Louis Braille and Helen Keller Information on assistance dogs- guide dogs for blind etc Couple of simple activity sheets for the children.

This celebration originated in Mexico. It is a celebration of those family and friends who have passed on. This is NOT the same as Halloween! the celebration occurs on the 1st and 2nd November. People decorate shrines or gravestones with paper chains and yellow flowers. Includes an activity- a selection of masks for the children to colour/decorate.

A help sheet for each of the 7 areas of the EYFS split into stages- orange 22-36 months, blue 30-50 months, yellow 40-60+ and green for the ELG. great for sticking in the area for adults to use when observing but also good to put in individual learning journeys.
