Future Perfect Tense Spanish Checker Board Game
Future Perfect Tense Spanish Checker Board Game-Ernesto Clases Divertidas en Español

How to Play It:
Play checkers with two people and a board consisting of 64 squares. The board alternates between 32 red and 32 black squares.
Each player begins the game with 12 red or black colored discs. Only one piece may be captured in a single jump; however, multiple jumps are allowed on a single turn. When a piece is captured, it must be removed from the board. When a piece reaches the furthest row from the player who controls that piece, it is crowned and becomes a king. One of the pieces which had been captured is placed on top of the king so that it is twice as high as a single piece. Kings are limited to moving diagonally but may move both forward and backward. Kings may combine jumps in several directions, forward and backward, on the same turn.
How to Score It:
A player wins the game when the opponent cannot make a move. With all checkerboard moves, students will use the target language to perform the tasks on the spaces they land on, whether it be answer a question or fill in the missing word.

Each game includes a checkers cut up sheet on page 2.
An answer key and complete instructions are included on pages 3.

How to Play It:

How to Use the Material:
Students will follow the directions and perform the tasks for each activity.
Teachers will use the answer keys to help and correct their students.
The material can be printed and handed out to students in the class.
The worksheets also work great for extra homework practice, extra credit or material for substitute teachers.
You can save on printing costs by posting the worksheets on your platform and have students complete it with a PDF editing program.
You can project the material on a wall in the classroom and have students write down the answers in their notebooks.
You can even project the game and the cards. To use the game with a projector, simply make markers with the different shapes in your PDF editing program and move them around the board. To use the cards, zoom in on one at a time and have your students perform the task you assign with the cards.
