This super Christmas advent calendar promotes outdoor play, learning and fun! There are 24 activities leading up to Christmas eve, exciting! As the adult, look through the photos to get ideas for any resources needed, please take care if lighting a small fire with cotton wool (very flammable) Print the pages out, the next page with the activities on is the base, you may wish to stick onto card to make more durable. Then choose the cover. Remember to glue in-between the squares so that your child can open the doors. It may be a good idea to score the squares so the doors can be opened. Below are bigger pictures of the activities and a link to a site which is one of the activities. Enjoy and have fun! P.s. Bang Pow Telling the time game and day of the week with super heroes. This is a fun and active game ideal for hands on, kinaesthetic, learning through action learners. Could be used an end of term activity/ game. Can be differentiated depending on ability and could be played individually or as a group working together. Mixed ability groups could be ideal to learn from their peers. Suitable for early years, key stage one curriculum, for private tutors and home education/ schooling. Aim of the game, all you need is a dice To fill the clock up with superheroes. The superheroes are numbered 1 to 6 Roll a dice, count to see which number you roll, if it is a 3 for example then find superhero number 3 and pick him/ her up. Then pick up a card, read and match your superhero to the clock. E.G. If the card says ‘five past’ put your super hero by five past. Once all six numbers have been rolled, repeat. Work together to fill up the clock. Use the same method for the days of the week.
