Full 7 lesson Earth and Resources SOW. Aimed at a low ability Y8 set. Worksheets marked STR or SUP are differentiated (stretch and support). All lessons planned in 6-part lesson format. Lesson 1 - Earth and its atmosphere Lesson 2 - Sedimentary rocks Lesson 3 - Igneous and metamorphic Lesson 4 - The Rock Cycle (two alternative lesson provided - one involving modelling through the "Choc cycle" - dependent on ability to use food within the lab/practical capabilities of the class) Lesson 5 - The carbon cycle Lesson 6 - Climate change Lesson 7 - Recycling Most resources my own though some resources may be adapted from other sources, including Activate and TES. Feedback appreciated.

A lesson aimed at new Y7 classes to familiarise them with a Bunsen burner. Includes a sequencing activity on how to turn on a Bunsen and a label the diagram activity. Ends with the students then following the sequence to safely turn, and alter the flame, to earn their Bunsen Burner license.
