This is a lesson and PowerPoint recapping Specific Heat Capacity. This is the fifth lesson in the Particle Model unit of work (P3).
The lesson links the theories of solids, liquids and gases and the particle model to specific heat capacity. The PowerPoint explains the formula for specific heat capacity and contains a simple table for pupils to test their mathematical skills against.
The lesson plan is step by step including extension ideas and the learning objectives linked directly to the syllabus.
This is a lesson and PowerPoint that recaps distance calculations in cosmology including parallax, spectroscopy, supernovae and red-shift. This then supports the big bang theory by linked this to the CMB and hydrogen/helium ratios before finally explaining Quasars and how we measure their distances.

This is a detailed lesson and PowerPoint explaining how a potential difference is induced by a magnet and coil of wire. This is the sixth lesson in the Electromagnetism unit of work (P7).
The lesson covers the basic idea of inducing a PD and current, then moves on to explain how to work out the orientation of the current flow and induced magnetic field in a coil of wire. The differences between an alternator and dynamo are covered including the graphs of current over time.
