Revision activity for the new Edexcel combined science CB6 topic. The idea of the activity is that they need to get all the questions answered on their sheet working cooperatively with the rest of class, with each person only being able to contribute one answer to each worksheet. I also allowed them to ask me to answer one question but could also be done independently amongst the students.

The lesson includes which substances are taken in by the body and which are excreted, a recap on diffusion, how exchange surfaces are adapted to increase the rate of diffusion, Surface Area: Volume ratio, alveoli and a recap on root hair cells. There is one task near the end of the lesson which requires the use of the ActiveTeach worksheets but could easily be missed out or swapped for other available worksheets.
