Grand Designs project about medieval castles. Students are given a budget and must build the best castle they can using that money! Good opportunity for students to be creative and also includes a numeracy element with the need to keep within budget. Students enjoy the project a lot!

Range of HW Menus and projects which are levelled and differentiated. Used for Year 7 and provides a range of activities for students to complete.

Resources such as example answers, structural advice and how to PEEL paragraphs for the new A Level AQA Spec. It includes resources for both component 1 and component 2, and also looks at sources and non source based questions. Resources are for unit 1H Tsarist and Communist Russia and 2S Making of Modern Britain. However, they could be easily adapted for other units.

Includes source based and non source based questions, along with student responses, mark schemes and structure guide and Communist Russia (1H) and Making of Modern Britain (2S) but could easily be adapted.

Resources and lessons about non history topics to encourage students to consider key concepts e.g. change, continuity. I have used these for AS and A Level students to help when making judgements in exam answers. However, they could also be used for GCSE students, or even adapted for KS3. As they are not related to a specific board/topic, they do not really require any specific contextual knowledge from students, but encourage deeper thinking in regards to key skills and concepts.
