Spartacus, was a famous gladiator of Ancient Rome(@109 BC-71 BC) . Originally, a soldier when he tried to leave the army, Spartacus was sold into slavery. His “job” would be to entertain people as a gladiator (fighter).Spartacus would later lead an uprising of slaves seeking freedom in what historians called the Third Servile War or The Gladiator’s War. Some people also refer to the revolt, The War of Spartacus. Did you know that people actually thought that the airplane would have no real purpose? Less than 10 people showed up that morning to see the attempt! Using this webquest students will learn about the Wright Brothers and their first flight. Extension activities,additional links and key. In 2021, Perseverance, the space craft that landed on Mars, carried a piece of fabric from the Wright Brothers’ airplane. In 2021, Ingenuity, a helicopter, took the first powered flight on another planet(by people of Earth), flying 9 ft. above the surface of Mars. In memory of their historic flight, the Mars flight was called the “ Wright Brothers’ moment”
