This powerpoint is for KS2 it goes through the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb. It starts by discussing who he is and why he is famous. It introduces Howard Carter and Lord Carnavon and the dates at each point of the excavation. It goes through each part of the tomb and what was found in each part, it has a map of each section. This could be used as a stimulus for a topic session or for a writing session.

Powerpoint includes three lessons - sketch books - looking at different styles of masks and the patterns that are included within them. Children to practise their patterns and what they weant to include on their masks. I also got the children to practise mixing colours in this lesson aswell ready for the decorating session. make the mask - gores through step by step each process - photos included decorate the mask - shows different ideas for the children to use and decorate their masks I completed this over four sessions due to waiting for the glue to dry and then the paint before we could decorate. Children really enjoyed this activity

This is the first lesson about Ancient Egypt - It introduces the Egyptians and include a timeline of key events. It discusses how Egypt used to be split and how these were united. It explains the difference between the three kingdoms and what happened at them times. Lastly it talks about how Cleopatra was the final pharoah and who took over after her. This includes three activities that are linked to the slides, i normally print out the powerpoint for the class then they have all the information needed for the lesson. Activities include. - true or false Putting events in order Writing a short explanation as to why they think Egypt should have united or split. It then discusses what happens to our teeth when we eat/drink sugary things. has an experiment to complete with the children - eggs in sugary drink and water. What happens? Once completed i would get the children to write up the experiment.

This powerpoint explains what happens when alcohol is drunk on different parts of the body. It discusses the negative effects on the body and also the positive. It has facts on ages alcohol can be drunk and when and how alcohol is made. After the powerpoint i gave the children a copy of the body and the children labelled the key parts and what the impact of alcohol is on each of these parts.

This powerpoint recognises that environments can change and that this can sometimes pose dangers to living things. Starts of with a key vocabulary slide which i expect them to know by the end of the lesson section 2 - key facts section 3 - why should we protect elephants section 4 - what is endangering elephants in africa - discusses climate change, ivory trade and deforestation section 5 - what is being done to protect the elphants activity - children to write a short piece using all of this information - there is a slide with reminders on for them

This is a one full lesson. includes a powerpoint and then a worksheet at the end. I would use the template of the worksheet and the n get the children to set it out neatly in their books but thats up to you how you would do it. This talks about what is a community with some key vocabulary and then looks into what communities we belong to and what is in our community.

This lesson looks at what happens during the nativity story - King Herod It recaps on the the three wise men and then how this links in with King Herod It include a passage from the bible - Matthew 2 :13-18 which is the King Herod section It looks at the journey that Mary and Joseph took to get to Egypt when they fled with Jesus and then links this into todays world with refugees. There is a comprehension task at the end. Other activities that could be done are a wanted poster for Jesus or a diary entry for one of the days

This is a full lesson with work at the end of the powerpoint. Has a brief descrition of where the Ten Commandments came from. Followed by an extract from the bible. Then there is a slide for each commandment with a picture as reference to help them remember. Explanation of why Christians need the 10 Commandments. For the work the children are given the 10 Commandments and they have to discuss which one they find is the most important and put them in an order. Lower ability children are given the 10 commandments with the pictures that they saw on the powerpoint. Both of these worksheets are at the end of the powerpoint
