This booklet is designed for years 7-9, once printed (preferably colour, double-sided and bound!) and given to a student - it contains enough philosophically stimulating tasks to keep your students busy for the year! It contains 60 pages and over 50 tasks. The tasks are differentiated, the format allows students to select the tasks that interest them. Some tasks are aided by the use of smart-phones (for YouTube etc) As a teacher, your only task is to check that students are completing the tasks. This one resource is great for form-time. -It covers a variety of religions, philosophical issues, and ethical debates. -Features political and religious art, and high-level graphic design to encourage engagement. -Fosters independent research skills and allows students to choose topics that interest them -Features activities designed to prepare KS3 students for GCSE topics. -See the attached image for samples of tasks! 2 x A3 Sheets (1 for each student) Made in Word so easily customisable. -can be assigned as a homework task, to be printed off and brought to lessons -can be completed as a learning/revision activity in class -can be used as an IT Suite Lesson Students fill in blank squares with relevant subject, revision, knowledge hunt information (and instructions to advance/retreat token X spaces). Students then connect their boards (creating a unique game each time) Opponents copy text when land on the other player's squares (60 seconds or they miss a turn!) Includes colour and black and white versions Includes PPT Instructions to integrate into your own presentation (with AfL slide). It is suggested that you add a few relevant background images/clip-art to make the board more specific to your subject (make sure to order/wrap them behind other objects and text) Dice (or dice app) and counters required.

This 20 lessons scheme of work lays out, lesson by lesson, the topics to be covered for the teaching of Hinduism at GCSE Level in the first year (as one of two religions). It is based on the Full-Course OCR B Specification for Religious Studies released in 2016. The SoW outlines everything that needs to be taught in the first section of the course [Beliefs and teachings & Practices] (where Buddhism is taught alongside another religion of your choosing). In short, this scheme of work covers teachers who: -Want to teach Buddhism as a comparative religion at GCSE level (using the OCR B Specification) -Want a course-design for a secondary/high-school level unit on Buddhism.
