Then, cover it and ask them to re-write their own version, putting in more detail. This series provides starting points to get young children, of 6-9 years, writing their own imaginative stories. Craft Activity: Design And Decorate A Christmas Room

(0)
Design and decorate a Christmas living room. A super fun craft activity for kids that will ignite your child’s imagination and help them get creative. Simply colour your chosen furniture and Christmas decorations, and then, cut them out. Next, arrange all the pieces in the room outline and stick down with glue. Alternatively, you can cut and stick everything first, then colour. Younger children may need help with cutting out and fixing the different elements. It is best to leave a small border when you cut round the more intricate, little pieces; then, when stuck, colour the border to blend the pieces into your design. Be inventive - you can use felt tips, colouring pencils, paint, glitter, sequins, bits of fabric, or felt. Plus, you could design and draw your own furniture, or decorations. We are confident kids will love designing their own Christmas living rooms. Included in this pack (to download and print) is an A4 room outline and eleven A4 pages of furniture and decoration options to cut and stick.
