Schools out! Teachers and parents…Be prepared for SCHOOLING AT HOME.
As teachers with many years experience, we have assembled some home learning packs that children will enjoy working through at home, independently or with an adult. There is a pack available for every age and year group. Age ranges are based on the ability of the average child in a year group. If your child is working at a higher or lower ability, in comparison to their age, you may need to go up or down a scheme. All resources are available for immediate download.
Simply, print each activity out on paper, using your home printer and your child can immediately start working. They can work at their own pace. Activities for younger children, could be laminated and filled out with washable felt tip pens.
The resources included in each pack of work are designed to keep children busy for at least 1-2 weeks. We hope that our packs will help children progress and compensate for any loss of schooling, that may arise.
Our home learning packs are very good value and they are heavily discounted, with at least 50% off RRP. At Guinea Pig Education, we want all children to have access to education, at this difficult time.
Contains 300 pages approx

Some children are feeling a bit worried about the coming of Coronavirus. They have overheard adults conversations and seen scary news reports on television. Is it, Therefore, not important that we discuss coronavirus and the issues around it with our children? We have written these pages to help them to understand how they can keep safe. Our cute character Pom Pom the Pomeranian gives them some instructions on hygiene and vigilence, which can be printed out and laminated for your classroom or washroom wall. Also included are some printable pages for children to fill in, using what they have learnt about hygiene.
This resource will help students practise writing discursive arguments (9-16 years). Includes two questions for kids to consider:
In light of recent media reports, are newspapers and news channels responsible for causing widespread panic about the coronavirus outbreak, Covid-19? (9-16 years)
Should we do everything we can to stop the spread of coronavirus or should we let the virus just run its course?
We prepared this resource, in order to help young people, deal with the sensitive and frightening issues around coronavirus. By discussing these issues, it will help young people to deal with the crisis.
This resource can be used as a starting point for writing your own discursive essay, as well as for class discussions around this topic. A plan and sample essay is provided and a second thorough plan (with many points for and against) is provided, so the young person can write a second essay on the topic.
