Powerpoint presentation going over free time activities with verbs in the infinitive. Listening activity (pupils select the correct picture based on what you say to them) followed by speaking (reading phrases aloud) and writing out phrases under correct pictures. Smartboard activity. Drag and drop the French and English infinitives to form pairs. Table with four columns and pupils fill in missing information. Sentences with missing verbs - pupils fill in the je form of the verb.

Suitable for beginners in German: KS2 and KS3 in particular. Powerpoint 1 introduces new vocabulary through images, with and without vocabulary. Powerpoint 2 practises making sentences about weather in different countries: eg, Es ist kalt in Italien. Worksheet 1 requires pupils to write weather phrases either from memory or by choosing the correct phrase. Worksheet 2 is a map which practises weather phrases and locations in Germany. Bingo cards with weather phrases and temperatures. Wordsearch with basic phrases. Powerpoint 3 is a lesson starter or could be an aide-memoire when children need vocabulary in clear bilingual format.
