I am now a retired teacher having taught for over 40 years in the UK at secondary level. I wanted to share my love of Mathematics and teaching by providing a good set of resources which will more than cover all your needs for as many topics as I can and at good value for money. I am trying to cover many topics from foundation level GCSE up to grade 9 at higher level in a way that is interesting and relevant. I hope you like my style !

The Remainder Theorem and the Factor Theorem - With Answers

(0)
This PDF has over 20 questions on the Remainder Theorem and the Factor theorem - a topic usually extensively covered in most good text books, however I always wanted more questions of the ‘harder’ type - repeated factors or (ax - b) as a factor and, of course, applications and links with other topics and so I wrote these questions. There is something for everyone in this set of questions - even some that will stretch your top grade students. Answers are included as usual. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you

Sums & Difference - Mental maths with 2 digit numbers - Fun game with 7 boards

(1)
This was a starter activity for Year 7 originally but I ended up using it for many KS3 class. You are provided with a ‘Blockbuster’ board and 6 double digit numbers. Each cell on the board can be won by finding the two numbers that add or subtract to give the number contained within that cell. One player/team is trying to create a path from top to bottom while the other player/team are attempting to create a path from right to left. The winner is the player/team to complete their path (a draw is impossible). Start with the toss of a coin and then teams take alternating goes - spice it up by adding a timer ! You receive: Instructions + 6 game boards + 1 game board which is offered free separately. This is a great ‘fun’ activity which pupils have all loved - a great Christmas lesson too Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.

The Area Of Any Triangle with answers

(0)
The Area Of Any Triangle is a great worksheet for practicing Sine and Cosine rule and the formula Area = 0.5abSin©. It is aimed at grade 7 - 9 students. There are four different types of questions. Simple - given two sides and the included angle, use the formula to find the area. Given the area, find a side or an angle. Harder - decide which angle you need to be able to find the area and then use the Sine rule or Cosine rule to find it first. Applications - finding the area and then using the area to find the shortest distance from one vertex to the opposite side. Recently added - An extra page with some level 9 questions involving surds and the are of a parallelogram - a couple of nice questions I found which you may find useful. Answers are included Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you
