I am now a retired teacher having taught for over 40 years in the UK at secondary level. I wanted to share my love of Mathematics and teaching by providing a good set of resources which will more than cover all your needs for as many topics as I can and at good value for money. I am trying to cover many topics from foundation level GCSE up to grade 9 at higher level in a way that is interesting and relevant. I hope you like my style !

This is the simplest of worksheets on Linear Sequences - simply state the general term in each case. 26 questions covering all types of question possible. answers are given for the general term but the sheet can easily be adapted: what is the 20th term? find the first term more than 100 is 760 in the sequence? etc great for a homework or classwork sheet - I used to put it on the screen and see how many the class could get in 10 mins Have fun!

A small but necessary PDF consisting of 20 questions on finding the general term of a quadratic sequence. This is simply 20 sequences for students to find the quadratic term for - nothing else. This will save a load of time. I have given the questions in two formats - one for display and one for homework sheets. Answers are included Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work. Thank you.

(Grouped) Frequency Tables - 11 questions with answers

(0)
Aimed at KS4 this pdf contains 11 questions on finding the mean, mode and median from grouped frequency tables. I have covered both discrete and continuous data and, for the latter, I would expect the more able students to be able to use linear interpolation to estimate the median - so I have included questions on this, though they can be omitted if not needed. Answers are included. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.

(Discrete) Frequency Tables - 11 Questions with Answers

Aimed at KS3 and foundation level GCSE. This PDF has 11 questions on finding the averages from a discrete frequency table. Though Mean, mode and Median are requested I always asked pupils to state the range of the data too. All questions are in context and are relevant. I use these at KS3 and also at foundation level at KS4. The last two questions are a little more tricky with the median though. Answers are included. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.

Straight line graphs for foundation level - With Answers

(0)
This started out as a quiz or lesson starter but I developed it on into something much more useful. There are two questions, each has 26 parts covering everything that a foundation level student needs to know about straight line graphs and their equations. Most students enjoy the short question which are not too demanding but I’ve tried to bring out a salient point with as many questions as I could. In total there are 52 questions which can be used as a starter, homework exercise or a revision exercise. ****Answers are included. I hope you find them useful.

This is a collection of a few worksheets that I have put together on straight line graphs. There are over 80 individual questions, including some to stretch the more able students at GCSE. One worksheet is on Perpendicular and Parallel lines, Another is a collection of lines which I used as a starter - can you identify the equation of the line ? The third worksheet was aimed at Key Stage 3 and was used to revise the topic. Hope you find them useful

Equally Likely Events - with answers

This is a basic worksheet covering the introduction to Probability I wished to stress the basic facts that examiners expected candidates to know, such as how many cards in a standard deck? which letters are vowels as well as number properties. So I created this worksheet to cover as many of these ideas as possible. I have found it useful for the introduction of Probability and also some revision at foundation level. ****Answers are included.

Stem & Leaf Diagrams - With Answers

This is a PDF over two pages consisting of 6 questions on stem and leaf diagrams. I have one question requiring the drawing of a diagram - the other five are in taking values from a given diagram. The work is primarily aimed at GCSE - not a basic introduction at Key Stage 3. I have included: decimal leaves as well as whole number back to back S&L diagrams Mean, Mode, Median and quartile are required in some questions. I did not see any need for any more than these six question. Answers are included. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.
