I am now a retired teacher having taught for over 40 years in the UK at secondary level. I wanted to share my love of Mathematics and teaching by providing a good set of resources which will more than cover all your needs for as many topics as I can and at good value for money. I am trying to cover many topics from foundation level GCSE up to grade 9 at higher level in a way that is interesting and relevant. I hope you like my style !

Problems involving A.P.s and G.P.s + Answers

(0)
This pdf consists of 7 problems with Arithmetic and / or Geometric series in context. I have included an A.P and G.P fact sheet which may prove useful. Problems like this are not too common at ‘A’ level but they need to be taught so I always covered these 7 main points. A problem in context throws up interpretation problems which cannot occur with just algebra. I think this is an invaluable lesson. Answers are included.

Volume and Surface area of simple prisms for KS3 - with answers

(0)
This is a set of questions that I wrote to teach volume and / or surface area of cubes, cuboids and triangular prisms. The first few questions are essential for all students but the latter ones become difficult and I would set these as a challenge or maybe give each question to a group of children to discuss. I have included a simple table of densities as I would use the same set of questions when covering densities. - Which is heavier solid A made of Brass or solid B made of Steel etc. A simple worksheet but it will save you hours in preparation. Answers are provided as usual Please give feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you

This pdf consists of over 20 questions on proof by induction. I have always found insufficient questions on this topic in any text so have collected these over the years. If they don’t get it after wading through this set then there is no hope !!! Obviously answers cannot be included this time. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you

This is a straight forward worksheet that I use with KS3 and often with KS4 foundation level. This, one page pdf, has 12 very straightforward questions (with answers) on the angles of a polygon - the questions do include the exterior angle but no exterior angle theory is required. Great as a classwork resource, homework or revision. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you.

GCSE Calculator Practice (challenge) - With Answers

(0)
This is a great challenge aimed at higher level students who need to know how to use all the functions on their calculator. This is a PDF of 2 questions, each with 26 parts, which I set as a challenge to all students sitting higher level GCSE. Although the focus is on the use of a calculator I couldn’t resist including some estimation (throughout Q1) and approximations Q1 and Q2 just to top it off. No student has ever achieved 100% on these questions though I was always really pedantic in marking. Answers are included. Please leave feedback, particularly if you like my work - thank you
