Formal letter writing activity which has been tried and tested in the classroom in upper KS2, but could be used with other age groups.
Learners will look at the main features of a letter of complaint. They will then write their own letter from Headteacher, Professor Dolores Umbridge, to Mr and Mrs Weasley using the information provided.
Video clip, example power words, model text and sample success criteria (WMG) included.
Descriptive writing activity which has been tried and tested in the classroom in upper KS2, but could easily be used with other age groups.
Learners will brainstorm descriptions of the location and scene of Dracula’s mysterious and eerie castle. They then write a detailed account using the information they have gathered.
