This set of 4-5 lessons provides ready-to-teach lessons for Scenes 1 - 3 of ‘Streetcar’ including analytical questions for A Level students, and studies of relevant contextual factors, e.g. the trope of the Southern Belle.
This ready-to-teach set of lessons covers the second part of scene 3 in more detail (see HpfEnglish Resources scenes 1 - 3 for previous lessons). It also moves on to cover scenes 4 and 5 including relevant contextual detail and close analysis. This also links dramatic form (Plastic Theatre) closely to the play and provides activities for students to find elements of this in the play for themselves.

All lessons have previously been taught to an A Level group who finished the unit with a detailed, rich understanding of the play. They are now exam-ready and confident in the analysis and evaluation of this play.
This resource is a comprehensive lesson which teaches and revises how to create/use complex sentences, colons and semi-colons. After teaching each punctuation task, there are tasks to be completed (all on the worksheet) with a round-up task at the end. Used originally to revise varied punctuation with KS4 for Language exam but can easily be used in KS3/KS4 starters.
