Hi all,
I'm a Science and Chemistry specialist who has been teaching for over 20 years. I've put on free resources as well as over 50 cut-price but brill paid for resources.
This is a your Science and Chemistry one stop shop!
And its great!!!
Hi all,
I'm a Science and Chemistry specialist who has been teaching for over 20 years. I've put on free resources as well as over 50 cut-price but brill paid for resources.
This is a your Science and Chemistry one stop shop!
And its great!!!
This is a introductory powerpoint that takes you through all the basic Mole work
It has the Moles = Mass/ Mr equation explained in full with several example and then follow up questions.
The equation has been manipulated in further examples.
Go over Molar Ratio link to balanced equations. This is then linked to the moles equations.
A set method to help work out these questions is covered which I have found really useful for all levels. Then there are worked examples and then worked questions at the end.
Overall a nice section of work for this topic in all GCSE spec's.
This is a full pwpt to take students through how to calculate the empirical formula of a compound.
Has worked examples and a couple of questions afterwards.
Can be used for NEW GCSE course or AS level introduction as well.
There is a homework questions as well.
There are5 different resources in this pack all linked to Bonding and structure for GCSE science.
2 jeopardy worksheets for simple starter or plenary.
A Taboo game with instructions on how to use for the class.
2 20 question grids where you can make the students into TEAMS to choose their question and they will be directed there , you can then go back to the overview grid for the other teams.
They are all TRIED and TESTED and most of the student s find them FUN and engaging.
Hopefully aid with REVISION and a variation to make the students think and challenge themselves.
These are some fun activities to break up your revision.
Linked to Organic chemistry section of the triple chemistry course, C3.5 in AQA course.
Has a jeopardy worksheet which help the students think differently
Taboo game with full instructions for class use and so the students can explore their understanding of the linking words.
20 question grid game which can be used as a fun way of challenging students in the lesson and getting competition whilst they check their knowledge.
This is a basic structural isomer pwpt which then has linked worksheet for the students to fill in and graded question to follow
simple but effective
enjoy
This is a full pwpt taking through 4-5 lessons of work in the current C3 and NEW AQA C 7.
Has information, diagrams, practical links , extension tasks, examples and questions.
Would suggest part are printed of and used as worksheets as well as attached past exam paper question
Enjoy
This is a nice lesson with a simple 'student participation drama' piece of work that helps the students appreciate the difference between complete and incomplete combustion.
Enjoy
There are 6 different resources in this pack.
3 on Fundamental particles and 3 on Limestone.
A jeopardy simple starter or plenary worksheet
A Taboo game with instructions on how to use for the class
A 20 question grid where you can make the students into TEAMS to choose their question and they will be directed there , you can then go back to the overview grid for the other teams.
They are all TRIED and TESTED and most of the student s find them FUN and engaging.
Hopefully a with REVISION and variation to make the students think and challenge themselves.
This is a pack of revision resources for AQA Chemistry
Analysis and parts of equilibrium
Taboo games with instructions for the students/staff to organise and set challenges for students and their revision.
Jeopardy quick question sheets which help the students think in a holistic way about the topic
20 question grid to cover lots of the topic and encourage competition for the students
Enjoy!
This is a 3 lesson pwpt which has a full theoretical review of dehydration of alcohols, overall reaction equations, full mechanisms and tasks to test students understanding throughout.
It also includes work on combustion of alcohols and examples of complete and incomplete combustion reaction equations.
I have also added a quick homework sheet and answers to this as well.
Enjoy
This is a 1-2 lesson pwpt which takes you though momentum work for GCSE Physics
Work on general equation for momentum and its basic theory
Then conservation of momentum and calculations based upon this principal.
This is a 10 slide pwpt to take students through completing a Titration
Has ideas linked to use of pipette, burette and the titration itself
A 9 step annotated approach to the write up to ensure all key points are highlighted
The worked examples for the calculations and extra questions to practice this work.
Nice little resource to take 2-3 lessons
Enjoy
There are5 different resources in this pack.
3 on Water and 2 on Periodic table
A jeopardy simple starter or plenary worksheet for both
A Taboo game with instructions on how to use for the class for both topics
A 20 question grid where you can make the students into TEAMS to choose their question and they will be directed there , you can then go back to the overview grid for the other teams, for water.
They are all TRIED and TESTED and most of the student s find them FUN and engaging.
Hopefully a with REVISION and variation to make the students think and challenge themselves.
This is a full set of work with different tasks for students to complete ideas for individual notes, pair share discussions and a scattering of past exam question through the whole pwpt:
Begins with Naming and basic structural isomer ideas for Alkenes.
Then links to the bond enthalpy theory of the sigma and pi actual double bond, with some ext work on sp3/sp2 hybridisation to aid understanding
Then use the planer non-rotational nature of the double bond to move forward and cover E/Z geometric isomerism.
Enjoy
This is a set of three resources to cover this whole topic
A taboo games with full class instructions to get all involved and participating.
A plenary or starter Jeopardy sheet which really tests the students ability to think around the topic.
A 20 question grid which is great fun to add competition into the revision and recall work.
Enjoy
These are 5 worksheets of 'simple quick questions' which persuade the students to cover the whole topic as a revision exercise.
I find them really useful to get the students to revise and to highlight the amount they need to do to prepare for tests.
If their notes don't prep them for this work then their notes aren't good enough!
These are 2 simple help sheets which take students through aspects of the higher level extra work on the C5 Chemical Changes topic for GCSE.
1 - Goes over word/ symbol/ionic equations for both displacement reactions and the metal and acid reactions.
Giving full worked examples and tasks for the students to then do
2- Goes over pH and concentration links showing the difference in dilution factor for concentration and then the smaller difference in pH.
This is a full pwpt on nanoscience, its uses and potential hazards. There is a nice idea of how the size relates to real life. has option for students to guess the uses and then follow up with series of examples.
