Here is the story map i used with my class to help teach the story Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers. At the end of the teaching sequence the children completed an assessed independent write changing parts of the story, such as the animal or the transport used to travel. My class loved seeing the story maps on the wall to decorate our classroom and constantly retold the story. I have also added some extra worksheets i used to help build up writing skills and sentence structure with my class before they completed their big write. Here is a practical activity i used in my year 1/2 classroom. The children worked both in groups and independently to record their answers on white boards. Here is a resource i have made for my class to recap place value style questions in maths. There is a total of 15 days worth. I display this on the board as a morning starter and then go through the answers with the children on the Interactive White board before starting my lesson. Three days are fact families showing the 8 related facts. Please note before buying these use the smart notebook Interactive White board programme to work.
