This lesson looks at whether there were any winners or losers in the Korean War, it includes a GCSE question with sentence starters, as well as a model answer to evaluate. Students carry out a task reflecting on everything they have studied to work out winners and losers but can also use the fact sheet provided if they get stumped. The class can then have a vote using the voting slide and discuss results.

A lesson that looks at the events leading to the North Korean invasion, with a worksheet created to help students organise their notes and a diagram to annotate. The lesson has got a lot of information to deliver but is broke up with questions to pose to students to assess understanding. The lesson then looks at how the US, UN and Soviet Union official officially responded to the invasion and students looking at the UN resolution, Truman’s speech and a transcript of the soviet radio broadcast. Lesson includes a GCSE Source Question and Essay question with sentence starters and model answers to help evaluate their work, Lesson also includes some challenge tasks.

This lesson looks at the interpretations of Saladin, was he a cruel villain or a brilliant leader. Students read through the facts on the board or you can print of the sheet. Students then sort the information into a Venn diagram or they colour the sheet in. Students then use this information to have a go at answer 3 GCSE styled source questions. There are sentence starters included for each of the questions.

A lesson in a SOW intended for a three year GCSE looking at the AQA: America 1920 -1973. Students judge the roaring twenties and how far society and their views changed with the times. There is a choice of two different worksheets one which is slightly longer. There are two GCSE source/interpretation question included with sentence starters for the less able and challenge tasks to stretch the top end.

A number of Key words for AQA France in Revolution. All the key words have images to help prompt students. These are great for revision. I print them so that 8 are on 1 page so they are smaller. Then laminate Following tasks can be completed with them: - Students have to define key words given to them - Students have to group key words that link together -Students can write definitions on the back and test each other. - Give a table the whole pack and time them whilst sorting them into groups of defining them. - Students create a ven diagram and group the words that are to do with each war and words that are to do with both.

This lesson is aimed at looking at how the monarchy’s power changed under Henry II. Students do a murder mystery activity looking at different sources about Thomas Becket’s murder and look at how the event challenged the power of the crown. This lesson works well after studying how William kept control. There is a GCSE styled question with sentence starters for the less able. There are challenge tasks to stretch the top end. Print off the evidence pack and either put it in an envelope or plastic wallet share them out between groups/tables. Make it a competition for students to work out the events of what happened.

There is also a Takeaway Homework, where there are a range of options that range in difficulty. Furthermore there is a Question/Debate plenary Game. Students are split into two teams and take turns trying to out question and answer each other. They attack each time they get a question wrong first to loose three lives.
